We’ve been studying lead and lead products in college. Lead is an element with a symbol Pb (Plumbum). It was named as such because lead was once used for plumbing in Ancient Rome. It is ductile, soft and malleable even though it has poor electrical conductivity.

Lead is used for construction, for bullets, and for batteries. You can also find lead-lined cabinets and refrigerators. However, some resort to using lead substitutes nowadays because of lead poisoning. Lead can be very useful; we just have to be careful in using it to prevent accidents.
