For Harry potter fans out there, this may come as a shock. Albus Dumbledore is gay. Yes, you’ve read it right. The headmaster-greatest wizard of all time is a homosexual. That is according to the author herself, J.K. Rowling who might as well be using Cryptography in writing her books because we certainly didn’t see that coming.

Being a Harry potter fan myself, I was really shocked when I first heard the news. I have read all seven books of Harry potter and it was never mentioned that Dumbledore was gay. At first, I thought that it was unfair since Dumbledore was portrayed as the wise, brave and most powerful wizard of all time (no offense to the gays out there) and that JK Rowling may have been doing this just to increase the publicity of the book. But then again, as the shock subsided, I then realized that it really doesn’t matter. JK Rowling can do whatever she pleases since she is the author of the book and she can change the sexuality of whoever character she chooses. What matters is that we enjoyed reading the book and we should thank Rowling for that.
