My associate and I are going to Las Vegas for a business conference regarding one of the upcoming projects in our company. I can’t help but be excited since it has been a long time since I have gone to vegas. What’s more exciting is that we get to spend two nights in one of those fantastic vegas hotels for free.
I know that this is a business conference, but hey, who ever said that you can’t mix business with pleasure?
My friend Jenna was moving in to her new apartment this week. She just graduated from college and her dad gave her this ridiculously gorgeous apartment as a gift. She asked me to help her move all her things. I don’t have much to do this week anyway so I agreed to help her out.
Today, we sorted all the things that she needed in her new apartment. She’s owns a lot of stuff but we made sure that we prioritize only the necessary ones. We even bought custom boxes to fit in all her clothes and shoes. It was pretty tiring but she was a good friend so I was okay with it.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying my best to lose weight. I’ve been going to the gym for twice a week. I also tried playing badminton to lose those extra calories. I also reduced eating food with empty calories like junkfood and softdrinks. Even got to the extent of eating only oatmeal for days (I only lasted for two days). Although I only lost 2 pounds in the process, I’m still hoping that I’ll lose all those unecessary weight eventually.

For this month, a trade fair will be opened to showcase the products and services that each town in our province is known for. As one of the councilors in our town, my mom was tasked to lead the designing and conceptualizing of the trade show booths for our town. Personally, I knew that my mom could accomplish the job because she has always been interested in trade fairs and I know that we could easily find something online that could help us in our booths.
After hearing about her task, she already went to work. She asked me help her pick up some table skirts for the booth. But for the most part, she did almost all of the job herself. She was the one who ordered for the banner stands online, decorated the booth, and she was also the one who chose what product to show. After two days, the booths were already ready for the fair.

I’ve been awfully busy this week. Aside from my full time job, I accepted a job from my friend as an insurance agent. Yes, I am now selling life insurance plans as a part time job.
At first, I thought it would be easy. But later on, I eventually found out that not all are interested in being insured (especially if you get only get the proceeds when you die). I was not able to get anyone to sign up. I guess being an insurance agent is just not my thing.
I heard another bad news today. A friend of mine (a college buddy) is going away to move to new zealand. It turned out that she finally found “the one”. She met him during one of her seminars. They went out to dinner and apparently hit it off. She’d only known him for a few months now but they’re getting married next week already.
The guy has a job in new zealand. He has signed a contract there for two more years, so they had no choice but to move there as soon as they wed. Luckily, there are a lot of jobs new zeland can offer, so finding a job for herself is not a problem. I’m really happy for her though I’m a little sad because I’m not going to see her often.
