When I was in high school, I really love buying lots of stuffs like clothes, shoes, bags, jewelries, accessories and a lot more clothes. I am a current events type of girl and I always wanted to be updated in the current fashion trend. But the thing is, my allowance was never enough for the things that I wanted to buy. So in order to satisfy my never ending quest for fabulous clothes and shoes, I try to find ways to earn extra money. As a sixteen year old, you don’t really have a lot of alternatives in choosing the job you want. Most of us get stuck in accepting Nanny Jobs.

Being a baby-sitter isn’t that bad. It has a lot of perks to go with it like talking over the phone with your friends, watching television and sometimes you also end up eating lots of candies and junk food. You can also get a chance to yell at somebody (please do it only when necessary). Sometimes, when the going gets tough, chances are you will be forced to play with them (please pretend to have fun, always smile at the kid even if you’re body is already aching all over). And when nap time comes, please let the kid/baby sleep before you do. And don’t make unnecessary actions like giving them sleeping pills so that you’ll have you’re peace of mind (I’m just kidding). Anyway, to sum it all up, baby sitting can also be fun. Just enjoy your time with the kid and imagine that the next day, you will be reunited with the dress that you dreaming off.

I have a cousin who lives in Arizona and is about to graduate from high school. She’s still undecided on what course to take and what college to go to. I told her that there are lots of colleges out there and that she needs to decide fast because she will be graduating soon. After a lot of thinking, she told me that she wanted to take up Visual Arts and Design because she is great in arts and is very imaginative. I told her that visual arts is okay since there are lots of jobs that requires a visual arts and design graduate (especially in advertising and in the entertainment industry). The only problem is what college she should attend to.

We let her decide what school she wanted to attend. As a family, we make it a point that they learn to decide for themselves (with our guidance of course). She told us that she wanted to attend a school that would not only help her learn the skills but will also help her gain the experience or hands on training. She also told us that she wanted to enter a school that is also in Arizona so that she would still stay with her family (they are really very close). It turns out that this college also offers professional guidance and support. It’s also a good thing that the school is situated in Arizona. My cousin’s decision is not yet final but this school will definitely be one of her options.

One thing that I can say about myself is that I’m a big spender. I like buying stuff and if ever you take me to the mall, it is guaranteed that I will buy something for myself. I’m impulsive and I sometimes buy things that I don’t really need or don’t even use at all after buying them. Some things just end up in my cabinet and I sometimes even forget that I even bought them. I am often scolded by mom because of my attitude. I reason out that I am only in my early twenties and I am only enjoying my youth (lame excuse, I know) and I’d eventually change in time.

But even if I’m impulsive and a big spender and whatsoever, one thing that you cant expect me to just rush in buying is the television. Aside from Harry Potter, taking tours and shopping, I also love staying at home and just watch lots and lots of television series and dvd’s. And being one that loves to stay in front of the TV, it is just expected that I don’t go impulsive in buying one. I plan to buy a new lcd tv and I’ve been reading a lot of lcd tv reviews for tips and suggestions. I also made it a resolution that I won’t enter an appliance store until I know what I want (just to make sure that I won’t go impulsive again. See? Who says I can’t change? Not totally but still, it’s a start.

I am really happy today. I just received an email from my boss Arlene yesterday. As I’ve said before in my recent blog, my boss resigned from the accounting firm that we once worked in and moved to London to search for greener pastures. Anyway, she said that she was taking a break from work and checked in to one of those London Hotels for a change. Her work is going well and her salary seems to be going well too, having been able to afford the trips that she went to. Being a Harry Potter addict herself, she said that she visited the Platform 9 and 3/4 and had her picture taken there. She also visited Madame Tussaud’s waxworks and the Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

She also visited other places in the United Kingdom like Endiburgh and Glasgow. She visited museums, castles, parks and cathedrals (believe me, they are too many to mention). She also booked a stay in three of Edinburgh Hotels and three in Glasgow Hotels. I really can’t understand this girl. Why stay in different hotels when you can stay comfortably in only one? When I asked her about this, she told me that she wanted to sample different hotels so she would know where to stay next time she visits. However, she said that she only got confused even more because each hotel that she stayed in were great in their service and she can’t decide which one she prefers. She said that next time she tours, she would do the same because she had so much fun.

Memories are one of the greatest treasures that you can keep. They are easily made no one can take them away from you. The best way to remember the happiest moments of our lives is by capturing them in a photograph. I’m planning to buy a Casio EXILIM digicam to take a picture of every important event in my life. This digital camera has a unique style that fits perfect for my character and it is more affordable compared to its competition. It is compact, lightweight and great for ordinary people who love to take photos.

This is the first time that I’m having a camera. I have missed a lot of important occasions but I strongly believe that it’s not too late to have one. The birthday of Michael next week would be the first occasion where I will get to try my first camera. I’m all excited and I’ve been day dreaming about it already. The weeks of saving and sacrificing of not going out is finally going to pay off. A year ago my Uncle Bert moved to Colorado with his family. He never really wanted to move there because he really loves New Jersey. He has a lot of friends there as well as some of our relatives. But they really have to move because of my Aunt Penny’s work. You see my Aunt Penny is a civil engineer. She is a very sophisticated lady though she handles big constructions of office buildings and other infrastructures. She was given a job by one of the biggest construction companies to build a condominium in Colorado. The plan for the project was really big she says and it involves a lot of money reaching to billions of dollars. Aunt Penny was really excited for her new job but Uncle Bert is not having a good feeling about it.

A month later the construction was already taking place. It was really a good start because they are not encountering some technical problems. Until one afternoon, the crane carrying the construction materials broke and all the materials it’s carrying was dump on the workers. A lot were injured in the accident including Aunt Penny and some other died. It was really tragic. Well the construction company gave structured settlements to all the workers who were injured and the families’ of the workers who have died. They really got a lot pf money but the payment they got is not enough to pay the damage the accident have brought to workers’ families. As for Aunt Penny she was hospitalized for a week and after that they all decided to go back to Jersey.

Aside from being an accountant, I am planning to set up a business to earn a few extra bucks and save up for my future. My character is a bit childish and at the age of 23, I still love toys like stuff toys and other cute things. Because of that the business I’ve decided to put up is a gift shop. I’ve already talked to a company formation agent the other and it seems that everything is going well. My family supports me with my plans and they are contributing some ideas.

I’m planning to name my shop “Secret Garden” which is inspired by an old movie which was entitled the same. This will probably happen a year from now. I really want this one perfect not only because it’s my first business but also because I’m putting my hard earned money in this. Since I am an accountant and have good background in the business industry, we all expect that I will not have any serious problems with my future business.

My grandma loves traveling. She often tells us stories of the things she has done when she was still young. She said that she toured almost every place in Europe, America and Asia . She really loves going to beaches, parks, museums and any other place where she can have fun. She also has a collection of teaspoons that she bought from the different places that she had visited before. My favorite teaspoons are the ones that she bought from the Hotels in Berlin and from the Hotels in Vienna.

The teaspoon from the Hotels in Berlin is made of 24 karat gold and has small gems on its handle. My grandma said that it was the most expensive of all the teaspoons she bought. The other teaspoon which is from the Hotels in Vienna is made of platinum and its handle is shaped like a rose, it so simple yet so elegant. Grandma said that it was the first gift that Grandpa gave her. It is in Vienna where they spent their honeymoon. That is why that teaspoon from Vienna is the favorite of Grandma. Well my Grandma can’t travel to far off places now because she’s already a bit old. She said that she misses traveling a lot but she’s is happier now because she is at home with her family.

My grandfather really loves playing card games. At weekends he goes to the casinos to play poker. He is always with his colleagues at the poker tables at the casinos of Las Vegas. They don’t really play big time though sometimes it cost them some money. My grandpa always says that it is just for fun. Well he says that at his age it impossible for him to play basketball and tennis especially that he has rheumatism. When he is alone he just plays Poker Bonus well it’s like just a slot machine. The only difference is that you play poker.

There are times that he really can’t go to the casino to play because of his rheumatism. But tell you honestly he does not stop from playing poker. Ever heard of on-line poker websites? Well he plays poker at those websites. He really is addicted isn’t he? He plays Pacific Poker, Fulltilt Poker and his favorite PokerStars. He even asks my uncle to buy him a new flat screen computer and subscribe him to a faster internet connection service. Well my grandma always nags him about being addicted to poker but grandpa still doesn’t care. I don’t really know what’s with poker that gets half the population addicted and hooked into it. But it is pretty amazing because it entertains a lot of men. But honestly I am not into gambling and maybe I just don’t have the luck with cards.
